Nazareth in Cameroon: education that transforms lives through hope and care

The educational mission of the Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth continues to grow in Cameroon through communities where education is lived as family, hope and integral accompaniment for children and young people.

During the recent visit of Sister Nuria Miró (Mission Area) and Sister Mónika Horch (Economy Area), it was possible to learn firsthand about the reality of different educational works that reflect the spirit of Nazareth in every space, relationship and daily gesture.

In Nazareth Nkozoa, they discovered a vibrant, joyful educational community deeply committed to the holistic development of children and young people. There, education goes far beyond academic learning: it becomes an opportunity to build a future, strengthen bonds, and sow hope in families and communities.

The visit continued at the Nazareth School in Soa, Cameroon, described as “a dream come true.” It is a true learning community where every space fosters education and where human, spiritual, and community growth are essential parts of the educational experience. Closeness, shared experiences, and daily support are at the heart of this mission.

They also visited Saint Joseph Manyanet in Mballa II, Cameroon, a community characterized by care and tenderness. There, each child is nurtured with a close and human touch, celebrating their growth and development in an environment where affection and personalized attention are integral to their daily education.

These visits show how the charism of Nazareth continues to bear fruit in Cameroon through educational communities that put the person at the center and work every day to transform lives through education, care and hope.
