Today we unite as one to celebrate the gift of holiness that blossomed in our founder, Saint Joseph Manyanet and Vives, on a new anniversary of his canonization by Pope Saint John Paul II on that memorable May 16, 2004.
This year 2026 is not just any year; providentially we also embrace the memory of their 125 years of Easter, Remembering her passing into eternal life on December 17, 1901. A century and a quarter later, the echo of her voice and the strength of her charism remain more alive than ever in each of us, in each of the people with whom we share life and mission.
Saint Joseph Manyanet, the «"prophet of the family"», He not only dreamed of bringing the light of Nazareth to every home through Christian education and devotion, but his unwavering faith inspired monumental works, being the spiritual driving force behind the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, which will soon host a visit from Pope Leo XIV.
May this double anniversary be a beacon of spiritual renewal for all. In a world that so desperately needs to rediscover the value of love, family, and hope, our shared vocation as Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth is an urgent and necessary gift. Let us continue to build, with the same boldness as our founder, living temples of faith and education in every heart we serve and care for.
